About Me

I love story telling. I was raised by wonderful storytellers. My father, mother, and my Grandma Murphy were yarn spinners of epic proportions and I loved to listen to the stories of their lives. My son Kyle also appears to have inherited this fondness for telling stories about his experiences in navigating through his life.

I’ve washed dishes in a restaurant, bussed tables, caddied, been a janitor, I was lucky enough to have performed in film, tv, commercials, recorded and played as a percussionist for various bands and artists over the years. I have also taught English as a second language, music, film and video production at Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California. I created a bucket list towards the end of my teaching career and over the last decade I have pursued that list.

That list included trying my hand at filmmaking, self publishing my writing and recordings and as I have now lived into my 70’s, surviving a number of health problems, including cancer and a brain tumor.

I now have this website dedicated to my various endeavors. If you enjoy any of these pieces and you'd like to donate to help this website stay open, please send via PayPal to Jeffrey Bowman @BowKay
